Due to COVID-19, the world is facing an economic crisis. As per the unemployment statistics in Canada, 953,000 people found jobs in June.
But, now things are getting back to normal. The government of Canada is easing the lockdown and imposing certain restrictions. Many Canadians and permanent residents have found new jobs while some of them are rejoining to their previous employers.
In February and April, around 3 million people lost their jobs due to lockdown across the world. And, 2.5 million people were unable to work from home due to coronavirus related reasons.
Gradually with time, the economic recovery started. Around 290,000 people started working. The unemployment rate was 13.7% in May which has dropped down 12.3% in June.
Over the last two months, the labour market saw recovery by 40%. Additionally, in June the labour force participation also increased up to 63.8%. This gives a hint that people are optimistic about finding a job that meets their requirements.
The CESB i.e. Canada Emergency Student Benefit was introduced to ease the financial crisis of students due to coronavirus limitations.
Now that things are opening up slowly, the rise of employment is boosting up across all the provinces. Even, IRCC conducted its first all program draw on July 8. This also means that the candidates of FSTP and FSWP received ITAs.
