 Federal Programs

The Federal Programs help the candidate immigrating to Canada. There are multiple parameters to assess your immigration applications.

Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)

FSW processes under the express entry system which a point-based through which the skilled workers can get the Permanent Residency swiftly. It is cost-effective and offers a faster process than any other program.

The Express Entry Program implies to Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Traders Program, Canadian Experience Class Program.

  • A profile is evaluated on the basis of several criteria like age, education, work experience, language proficiency, adaptability, Canadian studies, Canadian work experience, spouse factors, and then placed into the pool.
  • One must submit an EOI – Expression of Interest and apply as an applicant under the Skill Type 0, A, & B.
  • The provinces will have the authority to access the pool and pick accordingly to the need.

With the candidates scoring highest points are sent invitations for the PR.

Many Canadian Provinces and territories invite the skilled workers from Express Entry through Provincial Nominee Program. Each candidate has CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) out of 1200.  The score is evaluated based on age, education, work experience, language score, adaptability, and arranged employment.

Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) – The FSTP allows the candidate to settle in Canada with the professional experience in specific trades that helps in gaining legal Permanent Residency in Canada.

Eligibility of FSTP 

  • Meets the minimum language requirement CLB 5 for speaking and listening, CLB 4 for reading and writing.
  • There is no specific requirement for education for FSTP. But, to boost up your points in Express Entry there are two modes to do it.

 

  1.  If you studied in Canada and gained a certificate, diploma, or degree from the Canadian secondary institute or post-secondary institution.
  2. If you have a foreign education, then get your educational credentials completed to gain the points.
  • Must have related full-time work experience of 2 years in the designated occupation in the past 5 years.
  • Must meet the job requirements for the skilled trade mentioned in the National Occupation Classification.
  • Have an offer of employment for a year or a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by the province.

The Skilled Trades are bifurcated under various National Occupation of Classifications (NOC)

  • Major Group 72, industrial, electrical and construction trades
  • Major Group 73, maintenance and equipment operation trades
  • Major Group 82, supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture, and related production
  • Major Group 92, processing, manufacturing and utility supervisors and central control operators
  • Minor Group 632, chefs and cooks
  • Minor Group 633, butchers and bakers

Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class is an immigration program under which Canada’s foreign workers can apply for permanent residency.

These individuals have obtained Canadian work experience, settled in society and launching their careers. The Express Entry process the applications for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. Candidates need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), create an Express Entry Profile and then receive the invitation for the PR.

CEC Eligibility

  • The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of skilled professional experience or technical experience in Canada within 36 months from the date of application.
  • Surpass the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 7 for NOC 0 or A jobs
  • NOC B jobs Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5
  • The applicant will have to live and work outside Quebec. For the individual having work experience in Quebec and wish to reside in Quebec can apply for the Quebec Experience Class Program.
