So, you’ve decided you want it all—not just high school, college, and a swanky degree, but also global, life-changing experiences that pave way for your transformation. The most difficult part is how to begin with the whole studying abroad thing- yes, we get it!
Here’s everything you need to know about how to study abroad and beyond:
- Research and Read
Sometimes it can be hard to get started, whether you’re interested in studying abroad in high school or college, but in this case, the old adage really is true: do your homework. There are literally hundreds of thousands of programs out there, all for you to choose from!
In addition to visiting various websites and the immigration websites of countries, would it not be nice if you found comprehensive information at one place?
That’s when we come in. (Yes, we’ll be doing mini promotions in between)
- Follow your Passion
In order to choose the best program to fit your needs, first, evaluate what you’re looking for: Are you interested in a particular country, climate, language, culture? Take some time to yourself and really think about what you are passionate about, and what you would like to learn more about in another country.
- Language Proficiency Preparation
Whichever programme you choose to study; undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral; you are required to submit relevant proof of English language proficiency. The IELTS and the TOEFL are the most commonly accepted tests of English. We offer IELTS training programmes both in-person and online. The programmes are taught by certified Cambridge and Pearson experts and designed to help you ace the tests with ease.
- Money Matters
This is a crucial factor. You need to show that you can afford to stay abroad for the course of your programme by submitting details of your bank account. The account should show sufficient funds; this is a key factor that comes into play during visa interviews. Ensure that you have the means to raise funds to support your education.
It could be a bank loan or a loan from relatives, but you should have sufficient funds. Similarly, check for scholarships that you may be eligible to apply for and secure funding.
- Put it together
Here’s what no one tells you about how to study abroad: it’s a lot of paperwork, so don’t wait till the last minute to get everything together. Send in your application and other necessary documents as soon as possible; this may include recommendation letters, so be courteous to your professors and ask them well enough in advance for help in writing you a letter and aiding you along on your lifelong dream of studying abroad.
Whatever you decide, be sure to pick a program that will best suit your academic and personal needs. Studying abroad is just as much about personal development as it is about academic pursuits, and you should choose to study abroad in college in a country and with a program that will inspire you and make you happy!
