Across, the globe, there are primarily three tests which is widely accepted by the countries. The first one is the IELTS – International English Language Testing Service, TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language and lastly PTE – Pearson Test of English. Each of these tests will give you the scorecard based on the four modules i.e. Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.

When it comes to selecting the IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, it depends largely on where you have applied for further studies or the country for immigration. For instance, Canada chooses IELTS as its preference. Also, the score you receive will matter in the institutions. IELTS uses the 9 band scale scorecard for each section; TOEFL has iBT 30 marks for each section and PTE 10-90 to give the overall score and individual scores as well.
